There are several different types of membership for you to consider, but which one is right for you? Below, we explain the different categories in a little more detail.
Full club members are entitled to use the courts at any time and have priority with the exception of when courts are being used for club-organised events and tournaments. Full members are allowed full access to both the courts, clubhouse and bar areas throughout the year. They gain priority on courts over individual coaching sessions. Many club-coaching courses are discounted for member's benefits.
There are organised club play sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm and Saturday afternoons from 2pm when all members mix in. This involves sets of doubles with players that range from very competitive through to the more social ones. As a full member you may also be asked to play for one of our league teams.
This entitles two adults living in the same location the opportunity to join with full playing rights, as explained above.
Off Peak members have access to the courts during the weekday up until 4pm from Monday to Friday. Off Peak members have priority on the artificial grass courts on weekday afternoons during their club-play sessions. Off Peak membership is ideal for retired persons, students and parents who are available during the day.
For those who live 50 or more miles away. Same entitlements as full members.
Student memberships are available for all players, irrespective of age, who are receiving full time education. This includes all students aged 17 or above whether in higher or further education. Students have full playing rights just like full time adults.
The club offers a family membership to encourage whole families to join. There are very few sports where mums and dads can join in with their children. At Bath LTC we want to encourage adults and children to come together and mix in. Each adult has the same entitlement as any other full member and may join in any of the club playing sessions. The children have the same rights as individual junior members. This membership includes a maximum of two adults and all children must be under the age of 18 or in full time education as of the start of the membership year.
This is the same as the family membership above but includes only one adult member and their children.
The club offers membership to juniors in three age categories, under 8's, under 13's and under 18's. The club offers a range of coaching programmes, including mini tennis for the younger players and development coaching for the older players or more advanced players. Junior members are also entitled to organise individual sessions with any of the club coaches.
The club also runs holiday camps through most half terms and the summer holidays for all ages and abilities. These camps will be advertised closer to the time of the event.
With the club having bar facilities and large television, if you feel that you would do better as a spectator then we have a social membership that will enable you to visit the club at any time and take part in the many social functions that the club arranges, including the Autumn quiz, Christmas party and Chairperson's drinks (see social calendar).
I hope this page has been useful; however, if you require more information about the club then please do not hesitate to contact the club on 01225 425625 or better still call in at the club on any afternoon and meet a few of our friendly members.
